College Financial Aid Information & Support
Oceanside Unified School District is offering a series of Financial Aid workshops for seniors and their parents to provide up-to-date information and hands-on support with the College Financial Aid process! ECHS is hosting our information nights on Thursday October 27 and Thursday January 12, from 6-7:00 pm by MiraCosta College. Topics will include FAFSA and the Dream Act. English presentation takes place in the Truax Theater, Spanish presentation in the library.
What things do I need to get ready to file, and what should I bring to a FAFSA support event:
o Your Social Security number, or if not a U.S. citizen, alien
registration number or permanent residence card
o Your driver’s license number
o Your parents’ and your most recent tax return(s). Tip: If you
file in January, you can estimate the most recent year’s taxes;
corrections to the estimates can be made later in February
o Your parents’ and your most recent bank statements
o Your parents’ most recent business, mortgage and investment
Contact the College & Career Center if you have any questions!
