National Collegiate Athletic Association
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a non-profit association that regulates athletes of 1,281 higher educational institutions in the United States and Canada. It is committed to providing opportunity for more than 450,000 college student-athletes who compete annually in college sports.
The NCAA recommends that student-athletes register at the beginning of their junior year in high school, but many students register after their junior year. There is no registration deadline, but students must be cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center before they receive athletic scholarships or compete at a Division I or II institution.
Counselor Kathleen McCann handles NCAA Course Submissions, and can help you find answers to questions about college athletics.
