Team Stars & Stripes has a roster of student-athletes drawn from both coasts of the United States, from California to New York, and several points in-between.

El Camino head coach Jerry Ralph, who will handle offensive coordinator duties in China, had some very positive things to say about his school’s three traveling players on the roster.

“Jayden Casey is the Team Stars & Stripes quarterback,” said Ralph. “He’ll be a three-year starter under center at El Camino and he has straight A grades and is definitely the type of kid you’re looking for at quarterback, who can read defenses and is disciplined and very focused. He throws the ball really well and is a versatile athlete.

“Jagger Knapp is pretty much a heat-seeking missile on defense and he always plays with a smile on his face. The main reason he wants to come is to work with the Chinese kids in the clinics, which is a great attitude to have.

“Qwynten Kerwin will probably play offensive tackle and will go on to Humboldt State University. He’s a gentle giant and has a kind heart and is very much a leader for his teammates and is really fun to coach because he never takes a play off.”

The dates for student registration are August 2nd for Seniors, August 3rd for Juniors, August 4th for Sophomores, August 5th for Freshmen with last name A - L, and August 8th for Freshman with last name M - Z.

Make up registration will be on August 9th.  All students need to come to ECHS on the appropriate registration date to get their books, ID cards, and provide their data confirmation sheet.  Every student must also bring two current proofs of their address.

Students who do not come to one of the registration days will have their class schedule deleted. They will still be on the list of students planning to attend ECHS for the 2016-2017 school year, but the classes they requested will not be held for them. This could result in a student not being able to enroll in a specific class if that class is already full.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 760-901-8000.

Be sure to clear your name from the library bills list!!

Avoid standing in line twice:

  1. Click on the following link: http://destiny.oside.k12.ca.us/
  2. Select El Camino High School
  3. Click on Login (upper right)
  4. Your User Name is your student ID #. Your password is your 8 digit birthday. All login information is the same as if you were signing into a desktop computer at school. Use the password that you use for all your school accounts.
  5. Click on Login and this should take you to your account. Your full name should appear in the upper right hand corner.
  6. On the left hand side, click on the tab that says "My Info"
  7. If there is a red due date, then those materials are overdue and need to be brought in ASAP.
  8. Fines are listed in a separate section of the same page.
  9. Bring all overdue materials either to the library or the AV/Textbook room and ask for a clear slip since you will need it to unblock your ASB account.
  10. Only cash or cashier's checks will be accepted.  No personal checks.

We should have both the directions and the materials information be translated into Spanish too.

*** The library notifies students several ways throughout the school year of materials that are overdue. Paper notices are sent to students once a month, an email is sent every Monday morning to your oside.net account, and a semester notice is mailed home. There should be no excuses that you did not know that you owed overdue materials.***
