Coach Casillas
With one game remaining, the ECHS girls clinched the Avocado East League Championship with a 4-0 win over Vista. That result coupled with San Marcos and Oceanside's tie clinched the first ever Girls Soccer banner for ECHS with one game remaining. The Wildcats are led by our two Division 1 committed college-bound players Alyssa Ozuna and Jada Wilson. Our Captains Ozuna, Rebeca López, and McKenna Morrissey and our standout record-setting keeper Mia Bochis.
One more game left for the City Championship and the Battle of the Board this Friday, 2/16/18 when the Wildcats travel to Oceanside at 515pm. We hope to see you all there!!!
Wildcat returns to coach!
It is with great sadness that I announce that Coach Shelly Tuck will not return as Assistant Coach for the Varsity this season. I would like to thank Coach Shelly for all of her help as she has been invaluable to the program's growth and has helped us to our best season ever! I will miss Coach's humor and her guidance of our student-athletes.
In Coach Shelly's place, we have one of my first Varsity Captains returning to help coach as Erica Williams has accepted the position. Coach Erica just finished her career as captain of the Women's Soccer team at Austin College and is now working back at home as a behavioral therapist. Coach Erica is excited to share her college experiences and push EC towards the pursuit of the CIF ring!

El Camino High Girls Beach Soccer Team Wins!
The El Camino High School Girls Beach Soccer Team won the Under 16 Age Bracket at the Oceanside Beach Soccer Championships. The girls battled the hot sand and various injuries including a bruised foot, a bruised toe, a dislocated finger and 7 stitches to the bottom of a foot!! Nonetheless, the girls prevailed with a 2-1-1 record.
The girls started off the tournament with a loss to the FC Heat Elite (Escondido) 3-4. The Wildcats then got their sand bearings and defeated the Temecula Hawks 7-5. The Wildcats then tied the San Marcos Matrix. The Wildcats advanced to the Final on head to head tiebreaker with the Hawks, and had to face the FC Heat Elite team again. This time, with the championship in site, the Wildcats would not let up and convincingly won the game 10-3.

Hello Everyone,
We will soon have EC Girls Soccer Nights at various eating establishments in Oceanside. Stay tuned for more news.
Please contact Coach Casillas if you would like to donate to the El Camino Girls Soccer Program. We have individual item or general team sponsorships. Here are several items that are pressing for the soccer program this upcoming season:
1. Transportation fees: Currently each student athlete must pay $100 for transportation to and from away games. We are looking to eliminate or offset this cost to our players. We are currently looking at a cost of $6,000 for the program. Any donations made here will help our families keep the cost down.
2. We are in need of a renovation to the Farm Field. We would love to have the field leveled and seeded. Unfortunately, the School District has repeatedly denied our school's need for a safe and playable field. We need support for the community and people power to improve the fields conditions with shovels, seed and whatever other tool will help us improve the field. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
3. Varsity Bags: New equipment bags are needed, and thus, we can hand down the current bags so that the entire program has an equipment bag.
4. Pullovers: We are looking to purchase pullovers for the Novice team for games.
