Raise Me Website

RaiseMe is a unique platform that allows you to earn "micro-scholarships" for the things that you already do! When you create a free account you can follow colleges and universities that interest you and see what they offer for your accomplishments. You can earn money for things like getting an A, taking an AP class, playing a sport, attending a college fair and much more! Start earning as early as the 9th grade and whatever you accumulate during your high school career will be the minimum guaranteed scholarship towards that specific college once you've been accepted (admission is not guaranteed).

Post it note

Be aware that not all scholarship sites are looking out for the students' best interests. Remember applying for scholarships should be FREE!  If any site asks you for a credit card number, you’re not in the right place.  If you have any doubts, ask your counselor or stop by the career center.

Tips for Writing Your Scholarship Essay

Many scholarships ask you to write an essay as part of the application process as a means to get to know you; this gives you a chance to convince them of why you deserve the award over other applicants.

Some Tips

If you need help writing or proofreading your essay, bring it in to the Career Center to have someone read it and give feedback.
